Not only are these Sunday morning classes the perfect way to get back on track after your not-so-healthy weekend festivities, but they're taught by none other than the kind, enthusiastic, and talented fitness instructor Justine Grosso.
Since around 80 of you having been consistently coming to see Justine each week at Sip & Sweat, we wanted to give you a better idea of who she is, how she got involved in this brewery fitness class, and why she loves what she does.

Occupation: Manager at Anytime Fitness, owner of my own personal business (Justine Grosso Fitness In-Home Training), and instructor of Work For Your Beer's weekly Sip & Sweat class at Lenny Boy Brewing Co.
How long have you been a part of Charlotte’s fitness scene? Almost a year! I moved here in May 2016.
How long have you been a fitness instructor? I started leading workouts while I was a cheerleader at University of Buffalo, but I officially started a career in fitness instruction in the spring of 2012.
What fitness classes do you teach (both in breweries and outside of breweries)? I teach Sip & Sweat each Sunday, and I teach Circuit Training at Anytime Fitness Stallings.
What made you start participating in fitness activities? I have been an athlete since high school and throughout college, and I always used these activities to increase my fitness level and stay in shape outside of practice or during the off-season. Plus, it was a great stress reliever during college!
What’s your favorite part of teaching fitness classes? Motivating all you awesome people!
What has been the most challenging part of teaching fitness classes for you? Modifying for everyone. I try to give modifications for all my exercises, but in general, it's hard to modify for everyone... Especially when I teach a class of 80 to 90 people with a variety of different levels.
What is your favorite type of exercise or workout? High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and the basics (squat, lunge, push-up, pull up, plank). I've been working out since high school and trying all different types of activities, from running to powerlifting, and I've found that HIIT and basic bodyweight workouts are honestly the best, most efficient way to get in shape.
What is the most challenging type of exercise or workout for you? Running! I play in a soccer league to force myself to run. Plus, my competitiveness during a soccer game makes me push myself a lot harder than I would on any exercise machine.
What’s one thing you would want to tell somebody who was considering attending a brewery fitness class? DO IT, and don't be scared! I wish I got involved earlier with these classes, especially being new in the Charlotte area. It's a great way to meet people and explore the different locations in Charlotte. Plus, you get to work on your health/fitness and enjoy a drink afterwards!

What’s your favorite beer in Charlotte? I don't have a specific favorite, but I like blonde ales and pumpkin beers!
