A lot of people think that they've had light beers at other breweries in the Queen City before, simply on the basis that those brews were light in color and had a low ABV. But what really makes a "light beer" is the calorie count and carb count. The Unknown Brewing Company is the first craft brewery in Charlotte to release a light beer. It's called Feather Light, and trust us, you're going to want to get your hands on a six-pack ASAP.
Read on to learn more about our local beer of the week, the brewery it came from, and the fitness activities they've got to offer Charlotte's active beer-lovers.
The Beer: Feather Light
The Brewery: Unknown Brewing
But don't worry: you'll always be able to depend on Unknown Brewing's core beers to be there when you need them, including Feather Light as well as Pre-Game (a 4.5% session ale), Over The Edge (a 6.4% American IPA), Scratch ‘N Sniff (a 4.8% aromatic IPA) and Ginger Ale (a non-alcholic craft ginger ale made using fresh hand-peeled ginger, cane sugar and lime juice).
You can check out Unknown's new-and-improved taproom and rooftop bar (with a gorgeous skyline view) as of March 24 at 1327 S. Mint St.
