There have always been "barriers to entry" when it comes to fitness—from the actual concept of working out, to knowing what you're doing, to the steep price of fitness studios. Those factors can make fitness seem intimidating. But you can circumvent those issues when you take part in a fitness activity at a brewery, since beer fitness events are typically less expensive, more casual, and more approachable than classes in a gym or studio setting.
We see the same "barriers to entry" when it comes to drinking wine. It can seem intimidating, like you have to know all about wine before you even get started. Wine can be expensive, and you often need to purchase all kinds of other accoutrements (corkscrews and glasses at a minimum) to drink it. For years, wine has been seen as something for fancy folks with their pinkies up in the air while they sip from luxurious goblets.
But it doesn't have to be that way. Union Wine Co. is working to make wine more approachable and fun with their line of Underwood canned wines. Their hashtag is #PinkiesDown, because wine shouldn't be some fancy, intimidating thing. It should be something approachable and casual, to be enjoyed anywhere by anyone. No corkscrews or glasses required.
Read on to learn about our drink of the week, one of Underwood's most approachable canned wines: the Riesling Radler.
