This post is brought to you in partnership with Omni Grove Park Inn. All opinions are our own.

Whether it’s hitting up a new beer fitness class or traveling across the world, we all have our definition of adventure.

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Asheville, North Carolina to visit The Omni Grove Park Inn. Little did I know of the adventure that awaited me when I arrived on the property.

For many, trips to Asheville consist of great hiking and great beer. However, there are tons of things to experience beyond the mountains and breweries--so much of which you can experience while staying at the Omni Grove Park Inn.

From zip lining across the Blue Ridge Mountains to diving deep in the history of the Inn and its surrounding areas, I’m going to tell you everything you need to know to find adventure at the Omni Grove Park Inn.

As soon as I stepped through the front door, I could tell I was in store for something special. The lobby, also known as The Great Hall, boasts two massive stone fireplaces, a glimpse of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and a bar where you can sip on a beverage and soak in all the beauty surrounding you.

Just outside on the Sunset Terrace, I took in the seemingly endless view of the mountains. The picturesque views are so beautiful, it’s hard to believe they’re real.

The property as a whole is much larger than I anticipated--featuring four different restaurants, an 18-hole golf course, a sports complex, an award-winning subterranean spa, and mountain views from every angle.

Whether you’re a nature lover or you just want to get away from the city for a weekend, chances are you can find what you're looking for at The Omni Grove Park Inn.

For The Foodie

If you don’t believe eating food is an adventure, you’re severely misinformed. With four main restaurants on site, all featuring different cuisines, your taste buds are in for a wild ride. From casual to fine dining, you’ll find items ranging from juicy burgers to foie gras. In addition to the restaurants, you can find numerous bars throughout the property, as well as a cafe in the spa. I promise, you’ll never go hungry.

Even if you’re not one to try new foods, you’re sure to love the property's notorious National Gingerbread House Competition, which takes place here every holiday season. The winning houses from this November contest are displayed around the property through the end of the year for everyone to enjoy. In fact, their gingerbread houses are so infamous that they were featured on ABC's Good Morning America, as well as on the Travel Channel and the Food Network.

For The Adrenaline Junkie

You've probably hiked the mountains in Asheville before, but have you ever flown above the treetops to enjoy the view? If not, it's time to go zip lining. Just 30 minutes from the Omni Grove Park you'll find Navitat, an adventure course with multiple zip lines up to 3,600 feet long, which zoom along at speeds up to 65 mph. Both courses on the property include multiple zip lines that are built right in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it the perfect spot to take in the view from all angles.

When I visited, it was a rainy and cloudy day, which made for an even faster and cooler ride than I could've hoped for. Zipping through the clouds is an experience like no other!

For The Relaxation Lover

If you’re looking for something a little bit more low-key and relaxing, you’ll find what you’re looking for at The Omni Grove Park Inn Spa. The 43,000 sq. ft. subterranean spa offers numerous treatments from massages to facials and beyond, as well as therapeutic waterfall pools, contrast pools, saunas, and more.

The facility itself is gorgeous, and it's a no-phone zone, so you'll be totally relaxed and unplugged. An outdoor waterfall greets you before you even step foot inside the spa. Upon entry, the spa concierge shows you to your locker and provides a tour of the facilities before you arrive at your treatment room. I was treated to a 50-minute massage, including aromatherapy oils and hot towels. After my session ended, my massage therapist handed me a red rose and offered me a drink of my choice (I got a glass of champagne, of course).

Anyone who receives a treatment at the spa (or purchases a day pass) can also take advantage of the spa's extensive facilities. One of my favorite parts had to be the therapeutic waterfall, which you can stand under as it pours 200 gallons of water per minute onto whatever part of your body is feeling particularly tense. A close second favorite was the mineral pool, where you could float with your ears under the water's surface and listen to underwater music.

For The Fitness Fanatic

Who says going on vacation means you can't get in a good sweat? The Omni Grove Park Inn offers so many different ways to squeeze in a workout. They have an on-site sports complex that includes a pool, tennis courts, a racquetball court, weight and cardio rooms, as well as numerous fitness classes from yoga to spin and more. No matter your workout preference, you’re guaranteed to find a way to get active.

Looking for a workout outside of the gym? Check out the 18-hole golf course located outside the resort. PGA professionals and past presidents have played on this legendary course, so you’ll be in good company while you’re working out.

For The Historian

One aspect of The Omni Grove Park Inn that I grossly underestimated was the amount of history behind the building itself. The Inn opened in 1913, and in the last 105 years, it's earned some great stories. From its famous guests (including author F. Scott Fitzgerald and numerous presidents) to the history behind the decor that lines the halls and the rooms, there are so many fascinating facts to learn. The resort even offers history tours Wednesday through Saturday at 9 AM to talk through it all with you.

For The Beer (or Wine, or Kombucha) Drinker

You can't visit Beer City USA without exploring their local beer scene! Asheville, NC has more breweries per capita than any U.S. city, so no matter your drink of choice, it's a must-visit spot. From larger breweries like Sierra Nevada and Wicked Wicked to local favorites like Burial Beer Co. and Hi-Wire Brewing, your palette will be entertained for your entire visit.

In addition to beer, many breweries offer wine, cider, and kombucha, so there’s something for everyone. And if you don’t want to leave the Omni Grove Park Inn, no problem! They carry a selection of local brews on site, too.

Rumor also has it that some of their breweries also host beer fitness classes. Yoga and beer retreat, anyone?
