Learn more about how Danielle is impacting Work For Your Beer's content marketing strategy to grow our brand and community below.
Occupation: Resource Management at a regional accounting firm
Neighborhood in Charlotte: Greenville (a tiny little neighborhood just north of Fourth Ward)
I first heard about Work For Your Beer through Instagram, where I find all of my information because I'm a millennial.
What made you want to be a part of the Work For Your Beer community?
Work For Your Beer epitomizes something that is so important to me. Balance. It says that while health and fitness are a huge priority, so is rewarding yourself with a beer and hanging out with awesome people. I love the concept and I'd be crazy not to want to be a part of a community that supports that.
What made you excited to accept the Content Marketing Manager position?
The opportunity to join an amazing team of ladies who are killing it in Charlotte while creating content for the WFYB community literally is my dream come true. I like to think of myself as logically creative, having come from an accounting background, and as WFYB's Content Marketing Manager, I'm excited to utilize my passion for strategy and organization to craft and share content to grow a community of active beer-loving Charlotteans.
What does the Content Marketing Manager position entail?
As the Content Marketing Manager, my goal is to create and contribute engaging content for the WFYB community. This includes everything from content strategy to drafting blog posts to maintaining the editorial calendar to engaging with our audience via social media.
What is your favorite thing about being a part of the Work For Your Beer team?
As cheesy as it sounds, my favorite thing about being part of the WFYB team is being a part of something bigger than myself. Alicia and Mel have built a kickass community of active beer-lovers and working with them to grow the community within a city I love is an amazing journey to be a part of.
What is your biggest goal for Work For Your Beer?
I would love to grow the WFYB community on a national level. I really believe beer fitness is a concept bigger than Charlotte and the concept and community have the opportunity to thrive within and beyond the Queen City.
What fitness activities do you personally take part in?
I love running and strength training. I'm currently an ambassador for the Charlotte Marathon and will be running my third half marathon on November 11th! I also dabble in cycling and yoga and I love trying new things, like WFYB's Twerk For Your Beer (I may have looked ridiculous, but I've never had so much fun working out!).
What is your favorite local beer in Charlotte?
Overachiever from Wooden Robot. I'm a gluten-intolerant beer lover, so any GF beer holds a special place in my heart.
