Here at Work For Your Beer, we're passionate about growing the beer fitness community. No one better embodies the Work For Your Beer community than those that live it and breathe it: our brand ambassadors.
This group of active beer-lovers are just as excited to grow the beer fitness community as we are!
You're likely to meet them at a Work For Your Beer event, a beer festival, or a brewery fitness class doing what they love.
That's why we're highlighting our brand ambassadors and letting them tell you why they love Work For Your Beer and why you should too.
Next up on our Brand Ambassador series is Zac Post. Read on to learn more about Zac and why he loves to work for his beer.

How did you first find out about Work For Your Beer? Instagram! Immediately followed all the top Charlotte-based Instagram accounts (including Work For Your Beer, of course!) when I first moved here.
What made you want to be a part of the Work For Your Beer community? Work For Your Beer looked like a great way to check out Charlotte’s beer fitness scene while also trying out all the local craft breweries — and it is!
How long have you been attending fitness classes? I’ve always been into working out, but never committed to the additional costs of fitness classes on top of my gym membership. I’ve tried cycling, bootcamp/conditioning, and power yoga classes in the past and loved them — just couldn’t let myself cough up the extra cash. Work For Your Beer adds convenience, low cost, AND craft beer in the mix to take fitness classes to a whole new level!
Which brewery fitness classes do you attend? Namastay at Legion Yoga at Legion Brewing on Sundays at 12:30 PM and Boot Camp at Hyde Brewing/Suffolk Punch on Mondays at 6:30 PM are a couple of my favorites, but always down to try something new! I also love the pop-up fitness events with Work For Your Beer like kickboxing at RockBox Fitness, Blacklight Power Brunch Yoga at The Rabbit Hole, and Sip & Sweat (bootcamp) at Midwood Smokehouse — just to name a few!
What motivates you to work out? Improving my health and well-being so that I’m constantly striving to be my best self — plus, a local craft beer at the end of the workout can really get me going, too!
What’s your go-to pump up song? Right now it’s “Body” by Loud Luxury, but pretty much anything with a good beat and a lot of bass will do the trick.
What made you start attending brewery fitness classes? Combining two of my favorite things (working out AND beer)? Yes, please! How could that be a bad idea?
What is your favorite kind of brewery fitness class? I love a good challenge, so I want a class that’s really going to make me feel like I’ve earned that beer (or two!) at the end. My favorites are a good bootcamp or more of the power vinyasa flow yoga classes.
What’s your favorite part of going to brewery fitness classes? Along with the workout and local beer, the sense of community that Work For Your Beer provides is really my favorite part. Work For Your Beer makes it easier for new Charlotteans to meet others with similar interests!
Which brewery fitness class has been the most challenging for you? Like most dudes, I’m not the most flexible person, so yoga was definitely a challenge for me at first. But after finding the right style and an instructor that I vibed with, I’ve started to hit my groove and look forward to practicing every week!
What’s one thing you would want to tell somebody who was considering attending a brewery fitness class? DO IT! Whether you bring a friend along to a class or go alone and make a few new ones there, you’re bound to have a blast (and a least a beer or two at the end). Also, all classes are adaptable to those of all fitness levels, so no need to feel intimidated if it’s your first time hitting the yoga mat, doing a burpee, or “twerking” for your beer.
What’s your favorite beer (or ‘booch) in Charlotte? Beer: In the Clouds at Wooden Robot (I’m a sucker for a good DIPA). Booch: Root2 at Lenny Boy Brewing Co.
Why do you love Work For Your Beer? The convenience and affordability (you’re basically just paying for the drink) was a no-brainer for me. The added value of gaining a greater sense of community by meeting new friends through these classes was just an added bonus!
Anything else you’d like to tell us? Hope to see you soon at a Work For Your Beer class around town. Cheers!
