It's officially in November. The holiday season is upon us! For most, that means time spent with friends and family. As much as we don’t want to admit it, it also means less motivation to work out in cooler weather (and lots of food and drink to indulge in).
This is the season where beer fitness can turn into more "beer" and less "fitness." While you may be tempted to stray from your healthy ways because sweater weather has arrived, we’re here to tell you that it’s easier than you think to stay on track.
Here are a few of our top tips and tricks to help you stay fit this holiday season.
Find a Fit Friend
You know that one friend that loves eating all things green and staying active? Take advantage of their healthy ways and use them as an accountability buddy for the next few months.
There’s no better way to stay on track with your health and fitness goals than to talk about them with someone! It's helpful to find friend to give us a helpful nudge and support. Plus, having a go-to fitness friend will almost guarantee you won’t have to work out alone.

What better way to get in the holiday spirit than by running a holiday themed race? There’s no doubt that you’ll earn your Thanksgiving dinner and all the fixings when you run a turkey trot the same day!
These races are also a great way to get social when you run with a family member or friend. We’ve even taken the guess work out of finding a festive race by compiling this list, so there’s no excuse to not get moving.
Keep Healthy Snacks on Hand
This time of year is plagued with temptation. Between holiday cookies and savory treats, it’s common to want to swap your typical healthy snacks with an unhealthy alternative.
It’s important to keep healthy snacks with you, like nuts, fruit, or protein bars, in case the temptation arises. This will help you stay on track with your fitness goals and avoid a sugar crash later in the day. We’re not saying to deprive yourself of the joy that comes with a good piece of pie or a sugar cookie, we’re just saying you should do it in moderation!

Speaking of opting for healthy snacks, meal prepping is incredibly important this time of year! Don’t let the hustle and bustle of the holiday season get in the way of planning healthy meals for the week.

Attend Your Favorite Beer Fitness Classes
It may not be patio weather anymore, but that doesn’t mean you can’t hit up a brewery for your favorite beer fitness class. Cooler weather is great to go for a run or take a yoga class indoors. As a bonus, working for your beer in the winter months means you get the opportunity to try seasonal beers at your favorite local brewery!
Remember to Enjoy Yourself
Life is all about balance, and that’s especially true this time of year. So, eat that stuffing and drink that eggnog - just don't forget to make time to stay active and eat your veggies, too.
Listen to your body and know when it needs nourishment (and not another cookie) or more water (and not more beer). Everything in moderation, except for spreading holiday cheer. Keep the happy holiday vibes coming!
